Birth anniversary of last ruler of J&K Maharaja Hari Singh celebrated in Jammu

Jammu: Charak Biradari Mahasabha, Jammu organized a grand function on Friday to celebrate the Birth Anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh in the Shiv Charak Bhawan Greater Kailash, Jammu in which a large number of Charak Biradari took part.

A seminar was also held in the Greater Kailash of the Shiv Charak Bhawan to shed light on the life and works of Maharaja Hari Singh. Rakesh Singh Charak, President Charak Biradari Mahasabha, Swarn Singh Charak, President Managing Committee, Jai Data Ranpat Dev Maharaj Bhawan expressed their views whereas Sushil Singh Charak conducted the proceedings. 

Speaking on the occasion Rakesh Singh Charak appreciated the decision of the government, though taken after a lapse of seven decades, to declare September 23, the birth day of Maharaja Hari Singh as holiday.

This is recognition of the thoughts and contributions of Maharaja Hari Singh who integrated Jammu and Kashmir with rest of India by signing the instrument of accession and was a progressive and secular ruler to the core. He had declared Justice as his religion. 

All the Charak Biradari Mahasabha, Jagdev Singh Charak, advisor Balkar Singh, advisor, Pawan Singh Charak, secretary, Kher Singh, general secretary, Ajeet Singh, Gar Singh, Kulbushan Singh and Ranjeet Singh present in the gathering for the cake cutting ceremony to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh.
