Social activist Anna Hazare, 89, has been admitted to Bombay Hospital in south Mumbai for treatment of a viral infection and acute dehydration.
According to his aide, Hazare was shifted to the Mumbai hospital on Monday from a hospital in Ahilyanagar, where he had initially received treatment.
Doctors at Bombay Hospital are conducting a detailed medical assessment to determine his further course of treatment.
