Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday reviewed the rain situation in Maharashtra after speaking with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis amid heavy rainfall affecting several parts of the state.
During the conversation, Shah assessed the prevailing weather conditions and the impact of the ongoing monsoon spell. He assured the Maharashtra government of the Centre’s full support in handling any challenges arising from the heavy rains.
The Union Home Minister also conveyed that the Central government stands ready to extend all necessary assistance to the state administration for relief, rescue and disaster management efforts, if required.
Maharashtra has been witnessing intense rainfall in several districts over the past few days, prompting authorities to remain on high alert. State agencies are monitoring the situation closely, while emergency response teams have been deployed in vulnerable areas to deal with rain-related incidents.
