Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has said that all arrangements have been made for COVID vaccination in the state. Mr Kumar said, vaccines will be administered to healthcare and frontline workers and those above 50 years of age on a priority basis. Mr. Kumar added that the state government will follow Centre’s guidelines and conduct the vaccination effectively.
Meanwhile , the number of active cases of COVID-19 is continuously declining in the state. Currently, four thousand 177 patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals.
In all, 456 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, while 411 new cases were reported. Two lakh 49 thousand 96 patients have so far recovered from the infection in the state.
COVID-19 recovery rate in Bihar has improved to 97.80 per cent. This is 1.48 per cent more than the national average.
Over one crore 87 lakh corona tests have been conducted in the state so far.
