Aditya Thackeray declares assets worth Rs 16.05 crore in poll affidavit

Mumbai: Yuva Sena chief and Shiv Sena candidate from Worli assembly constituency, Aditya Thackeray has declared total net assets worth Rs 16.05 crore in the election affidavit that he filed on Thursday, before the Election Returning Officer (ERO). Aged 29, Aditya Thackeray describes his profession as “Business”. Of the total assets of Rs 16.05 crore, Bank deposits alone account for Rs 10.36 crore of the Rs 11.38 crore moveable assets and immoveable property accounts for Rs 4.67 crore.

The total assets includes a BMW car (MH-02-CB-1234) whose current value is Rs 6.50 lakh which is currently being hotly debated on various Social Media platforms with some arguing that it is a 9 year old car. Besides this the Yuva Sena chief has disclosed Jewellery which includes diamond in gold bracelets worth Rs 64.65 lakh. The Yuva Sena chief has disclosed Bonds and Shares worth Rs 20.39 Lakhs. The Thackeray scion has declared Rs 13,344 only as cash at hand and other assets worth Rs. 10.22 lakh.

Aditya Thackeray has disclosed agricultural land worth Rs 77.66 lakh at village Bilawale, taluka Khalapur in Raigad district which he has shown as gifted to him by his father by way of gift deed. He has also shown 2 shops worth Rs 6.89 crore, one is located at Shreeji Arcade at Thakurli near Kalyan and another at Ashar Millenia on the Ghodbunder Road in Thane city which he has shown as being gifted to him by his mother by way of gift deed.

Speaking to newspersons at the Worli election office, Sena president Uddhav Thackeray remarked that his son Aditya Thackeray is here to serve not just the people of Worli, but also that of Maharashtra. He added that he kept the tradition of his father, Sena chief late Balasaheb Thackeray who had announced he would not take part in active electoral politics. Referring to his son Aditya, he said that this is the present day new generation who want to join active electoral politics and serve the people. Uddhav Thackeray accompanied by his wife Rashmi did not join Aditya’s motorcade and instead preferred to wait for him at Worli.
