“A Historic Day for Maharashtra and the Nation”: Minister Uday Samant on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s 352nd Coronation Anniversary

Raigad: Maharashtra today marked the 352nd anniversary of the coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with grand celebrations at Raigad Fort, the historic seat of the Maratha Empire. The event was attended by political leaders, cultural groups, and thousands of citizens from across the state.

Calling it a moment of pride, Maharashtra Minister Uday Samant said, “Today is a historic day for Maharashtra and the country, as it is the 352nd anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s coronation.”

He also highlighted the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, stating, “Today’s coronation ceremony is going to be celebrated in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde Saheb. It will be organised by our Minister Bharatshet Gogawale.”

The ceremony featured traditional Mavla processions, cultural performances, and a reenactment of Shivaji Maharaj’s coronation rituals. The Bhagwa Dhwaj (saffron flag) was ceremoniously hoisted at the fort, symbolizing the enduring spirit of Hindavi Swarajya.
