Federation of Retail Traders Welfare Association (FRTWA) president Viren shah has written to BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal regarding re-opening of non essential shops in Mumbai and other parts where Covid cases are down after May 15.
“Due to tremendous effort by the health workers under your leadership and now MCGM and others can surely open up the shops in Mumbai and other non containment areas where cases are coming down. We would like to suggest that all non essential shops to be allowed to remain open from 10 am to 8 pm in all days to revive the economy back on the track”, said Viren shah
“We are sure you will take prompt decisions to ensure that shopkeepers can with proper precaution can resume their operation in a systematic manner”, he added.
Mumbai has seen dip in Covid patients from a few days and cases are under 2000, however, there is no update whether the lockdown will be extended or not.
