10.14 percent of polling has been reported in first 2 hours in Assam. Polling is being held in 47 seats in the first phase. Senior minister and BJP leader Ranjit Dutta and Jogen Mohan, Asom Gana Parishad Atul Bora are among those who casted their votes early in the day.
The district administration has made adequate arrangements for voters in polling booths. All Covid protocols are being followed. In some of the polling booths, playing rooms for children have been made. No untoward incident has been reported so far.
