Political strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor has disclosed assets exceeding ₹96 crore in the affidavit submitted along with his nomination papers for the upcoming Bankipur Assembly by-election in Bihar.
The Jan Suraaj founder officially entered the electoral race on Monday by filing his nomination, making the Bankipur bypoll one of the most closely watched political contests in the state.
According to the affidavit, Kishor’s total declared assets stand at more than ₹96.06 crore, comprising both movable and immovable properties.

According to the declaration, the company contributed ₹85 crore to the Jan Suraaj Party and ₹50 lakh to the Jan Suraaj Foundation.

Her declared assets include:

- Immovable assets: ₹12.42 crore

According to the declaration, he:
- Completed Class 10 from M.P. High School, Buxar in 1991.
- Passed Class 12 from Patna Science College in 1993.
- Earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Lucknow University between 1996 and 1999.
- Obtained a Master of Health Administration (MHA) between 2001 and 2003.
- Studied the French language at CAVILAM, Vichy, France, in 2010.
Why the Bankipur Bypoll Is Being Held
The by-election was necessitated after BJP leader Nitin Nabin vacated the Bankipur Assembly seat following his elevation to the Rajya Sabha and appointment as the BJP’s national president.
Polling for the constituency is scheduled for July 30, with Prashant Kishor making his own electoral debut after years of working as a political strategist.
