India Rejects Pakistan’s Allegations Over Karachi Rangers Headquarters Attack, Urges Action Against Terror Groups

India on Sunday firmly rejected Pakistan’s allegations linking New Delhi to the recent militant attack on a Sindh Rangers headquarters in Karachi, calling the accusations completely unfounded. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said Pakistan should stop making baseless claims and instead focus on tackling terrorism within its own borders.

The response came after sections of the Pakistani media alleged that India was behind the assault on the Sindh Rangers’ Bhittai Wing headquarters in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area. India categorically denied the allegations, maintaining that the accusations had no factual basis.

Reacting to the claims, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “Pakistan should stop making baseless allegations and instead take meaningful action against terrorist infrastructure operating from within its own territory.” (Quote source: Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.)

He further stated that Pakistan should abandon the use of terrorism as an instrument of state policy and concentrate on addressing the security challenges arising from inside the country.

The diplomatic exchange follows a major militant attack in Karachi on Saturday. According to Pakistani authorities, heavily armed attackers drove a vehicle through the main entrance of the Sindh Rangers’ Bhittai Wing headquarters before launching an assault with grenades and automatic weapons, triggering multiple explosions and a fierce gun battle.

Security forces, including personnel from the Special Security Unit and the Anti-Terrorist Force, responded to the attack and carried out an operation that lasted around 90 minutes. Pakistani officials said six militants were killed during the encounter, while one attacker was captured alive. Four Rangers personnel also lost their lives in the attack.

Responsibility for the assault was claimed by Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, a faction linked to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), according to Pakistani authorities. The attack has renewed concerns over Pakistan’s internal security situation, prompting authorities to launch an investigation and tighten security measures across Karachi.

India’s latest response comes amid continued diplomatic tensions between the two countries, with New Delhi reiterating its long-standing position that Pakistan should focus on dismantling terrorist networks operating within its territory rather than making allegations against India.
