Operation Tiger Buzz Grows: Reports Claim 7 Sena (UBT) MPs May Join Shinde Camp on Shiv Sena Foundation Day

Possible Realignment Around Foundation Day

As per reports, the lawmakers could first announce the formation of a separate parliamentary group before exploring a merger with the Shinde-led Shiv Sena. The timing is being linked to Shiv Sena’s foundation day celebrations, making the speculation even more politically significant.

Leaders from the ruling Shiv Sena faction have repeatedly hinted that discussions with several elected representatives are underway, further fuelling rumours of a possible realignment.

Uddhav Thackeray Moves to Display Unity

Amid the growing buzz, Uddhav Thackeray convened a meeting of all Lok Sabha MPs belonging to his faction. The gathering was aimed at sending a message of unity at a time when reports of defections continue to dominate headlines.

Party leaders maintained that all nine MPs participated in the meeting either physically, virtually, or through direct communication with the party chief.

Senior leaders insisted that the parliamentary wing remains united and committed to the party leadership despite the ongoing speculation.

Sena (UBT) Rejects Defection Claims

Following the meeting, leaders from the Uddhav camp strongly rejected claims of an imminent split. Party representatives argued that the absence of some MPs from Mumbai was due to personal, medical, and political commitments rather than any rebellion.

Several MPs who attended virtually also clarified that logistical reasons prevented them from being physically present at the meeting.

Maharashtra Politics Enters Crucial Phase

The latest developments have once again brought Maharashtra’s political landscape into sharp focus. With the monsoon session approaching and rumours of defections refusing to die down, attention is now firmly on whether “Operation Tiger” remains political speculation or evolves into a significant shift in the state’s power equations.
