The Delhi Legislative Assembly was thrown into panic once again after receiving a fresh bomb threat on Wednesday, marking the second such incident within just 24 hours.
The threatening email, sent early morning to Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta, claimed that explosive devices had been planted inside the premises during the ongoing session.
Second Threat in 24 Hours Sparks Panic
Officials revealed that on Tuesday:
- One email was sent at 7:28 AM to the Assembly’s official ID
- Another reached the Speaker at 7:49 AM
These back-to-back threats triggered a major security response in the national capital.
Massive Security Sweep Across Assembly Area
Following Wednesday’s fresh threat, security agencies immediately stepped up action:
- Bomb disposal squads deployed
- Sniffer dog teams conducted checks
- Police carried out anti-sabotage sweeps
Authorities confirmed that no explosives have been found so far, but vigilance remains extremely high.
A senior police officer said, “We are taking every threat seriously. Thorough checking is being conducted and surveillance has been stepped up.”
Cyber Investigation Intensifies
Cyber experts and security agencies have now launched a detailed technical investigation to trace the origin of the emails.
Officials are using:
- IP tracking
- Email header analysis
- Digital surveillance tools
to identify the sender behind the threats.
Top Leaders Named in Threat Emails
The threatening emails reportedly mentioned several high-profile leaders, including:
- Narendra Modi
- Amit Shah
- S. Jaishankar
- Taranjit Sandhu
- Manjinder Singh Sirsa
The nearby Vidhan Sabha Metro Station was also flagged in the threat, raising further concern.

With repeated threats targeting a key government building, security has been tightened across the Assembly and nearby areas.
Officials say investigations are ongoing, and strict monitoring will continue until the source of the threats is identified.
