Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday rolled out a series of major development initiatives in Rajasthan, unveiling projects valued at over ₹16,686 crore during a public programme in Ajmer. The visit marked his first trip to the state this year and combined infrastructure expansion, employment generation and public health measures.
Over 21,000 Youth Receive Government Appointments
A key highlight of the event was the distribution of appointment letters to 21,863 young candidates selected for government posts across departments.
The recruitment drive covers a wide range of roles, including:
- 3,320 Patwaris in the Revenue Department
- 2,291 Contract Accounting Assistants
- 2,950 Livestock Assistants
- 3,822 Community Health Officers (CHOs)
- 7,357 healthcare personnel such as nurses, lab technicians, nursing in-charges and administrative staff
The large-scale hiring is aimed at strengthening grassroots administration and improving public service delivery, particularly in rural and healthcare sectors.
Infrastructure Push Worth ₹16,686 Crore
Out of the total announced investment, 34 projects worth ₹8,554 crore are linked to state-level schemes. Additionally, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for nine National Highway and energy-related projects amounting to ₹8,132 crore.
Among the key projects is the ₹1,207 crore Bandikui–Jaipur four-lane Greenfield Expressway, designed to ease traffic flow and enhance connectivity in the region. Development works connected to the Delhi–Vadodara Greenfield Expressway were also part of the package, alongside major highway expansion and energy infrastructure upgrades.
Officials said these projects are expected to cut travel time, improve logistics efficiency and stimulate trade and industrial growth across Rajasthan.
Nationwide HPV Vaccination Drive Launched
During the programme, the Prime Minister also formally launched a nationwide Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign targeting girls aged 9 to 14 years. The initiative is aimed at preventing cervical cancer and expanding preventive healthcare coverage across the country.
The campaign seeks to increase awareness among families and ensure early immunisation to reduce long-term health risks for women.

The event was attended by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde and BJP state president Madan Rathore, among other senior leaders.
