Amit Shah Attacks Mamata Banerjee: ‘Ma, Mati, Manush Are Not Safe in Bengal’

Kolkata: Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp political attack on the West Bengal government, calling on voters to bring the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to power to safeguard women, land, and public interest in the state. Addressing a gathering, Shah said that Bengal now stands at a decisive turning point and accused the ruling dispensation of failing on its core promises.

Referring to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s long-used slogan, Shah said, “People of Bengal, now it’s Bengal’s turn. Mamata Banerjee came to power by raising the slogan of ‘Ma, Mati, Manush’ (Mother, Land, People). Here, the mother is unsafe, and there is no proper protection for women. The land and resources have been looted, and the people are troubled by Mamata’s syndicate. If we want to protect Ma, Mati, and Manush, then a government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, which respects Vande Mataram, must be formed. The BJP government must be formed…”

The Home Minister alleged that women’s safety has deteriorated across the state and claimed that organised networks have taken control of land, resources, and local governance. He asserted that ordinary citizens are suffering due to what he described as a “syndicate-driven system” operating under political protection.
