Mumbai: Emotions ran high in Baramati as the mortal remains of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar were taken to the Vidya Pratishthan ground for his last rites. Thousands of supporters gathered along the route, raising powerful slogans of “Ajit Dada Amar Rahe”, turning the farewell into a deeply emotional moment for the region.
Family members walked alongside the procession. Ajit Pawar’s son Jay Pawar, nephew Rohit Pawar, and other members of the Pawar family were present, visibly moved as they joined supporters in paying their final respects. The atmosphere reflected both grief and gratitude, as people remembered Ajit Pawar’s long political journey and deep connection with Baramati.
