Delhi: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday underlined the national importance of the proposed Viksit Bharat G-RAM G Bill, stating that its effective implementation in Uttar Pradesh could determine its success across the country. Speaking after a meeting with senior state leaders, Rijiju said detailed discussions were held on the bill and its long-term impact on rural development.
Calling the legislation historic, the Union Minister stressed the need to take its message directly to villages. He said people at the grassroots must be made fully aware of how the new law is expected to strengthen governance, improve delivery of schemes, and accelerate development in rural India.
Rijiju pointed out that Uttar Pradesh’s scale makes it a decisive testing ground for national policies. According to him, if the bill gains acceptance and delivers results in India’s most populous state, it will naturally gain momentum in other regions as well.
He also highlighted the Centre’s focus on coordination between the Union and state leadership to ensure smooth rollout and public participation. The government, he said, aims to build confidence among villagers by clearly explaining the benefits and objectives of the proposed legislation.
