Patna: In a sharp rebuttal to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks on Bihar’s industrial prospects, Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial candidate and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday accused the BJP-led NDA of lacking the intent to develop the state.

Tejashwi said, “Union HM Amit Shah said that industries and factories cannot be made in Bihar because of the issue of land. I have never seen such a Home Minister who says this. They do not have the intention to take Bihar towards development. They do not want to provide employment or industries. They want to capture Bihar.”

He further asserted that only someone born in Bihar can truly understand and work for the state’s progress. “The son of Bihar can only think about the state. No matter how many election rallies they are doing, the people of Bihar have decided that they are going to throw the NDA out of power,” Yadav added.

Tejashwi’s remarks come amid heated campaigning for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, where the Mahagathbandhan alliance — comprising the RJD, Congress, and Left parties — is challenging the ruling NDA, led by the BJP and JD(U).
