New Delhi: To ensure smoother travel for devotees during the festive season, the Indian Railways has announced the operation of two unreserved Navratri Puja special trains running from September 22 to October 6, 2025. These services aim to provide convenient travel for pilgrims heading to seek blessings at Maa Vindhyavasini and other sacred destinations.

The first train, Train No. 04112/04111, will operate between Prayagraj and Patna. It is scheduled to make 11 trips in both directions from September 22 to October 1, and again on October 6. Departing from Prayagraj at 11:15 am, it is expected to reach Patna at 8:15 pm the same day. On the return journey, the train will leave Patna at 9:00 pm and arrive at Prayagraj at 6:20 am the next morning. Key stops include Naini, Meja Road, Manda Road, Vindhyachal, Mirzapur, Chunar, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar, Ara, and Danapur.

The second service, Train No. 04113/04114, will run between Mirzapur and Alamnagar in Lucknow. It will operate 11 trips from Mirzapur between September 22 and October 1, and on October 6. From Alamnagar, departures are scheduled from September 23 to October 2 and on October 7. The train leaves Mirzapur at 4:05 pm, arriving at Alamnagar by 11:25 pm, while the return service departs Alamnagar at 1:00 am to reach Mirzapur at 8:00 am, stopping at several important stations along the route.

This year, Shardiya Navratri is observed from September 22 to October 1, culminating on Durga Navami. Interestingly, the festival is being celebrated for ten days instead of the usual nine due to a rare calendar coincidence. According to Vedic traditions, the extended ten-day observance is considered especially auspicious, and worship during this period is believed to help devotees achieve their wishes more swiftly.
