Born on September 11, 1950, in Chandrapur, Maharashtra, Bhagwat has grown to become one of the most influential voices in India’s socio-political landscape.

Over the past five decades, Bhagwat has risen through the ranks of the Sangh, beginning his journey as a pracharak and eventually taking charge as the sixth sarsanghchalak (chief) of the RSS in March 2009.
