Raj Thackeray Rallies MNS workers: “Forget Disputes, Focus on Elections”

Mumbai: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has sounded the poll bugle ahead of the upcoming municipal elections, urging party members to set aside internal conflicts and get battle-ready. At a key internal meeting held in Mumbai on Monday, Thackeray is said to have issued clear directions to restructure the organisation and intensify groundwork across the state.

Senior party leader and trusted aide Bala Nandgaonkar, speaking to reporters after the meeting, said, “Raj saheb made it very clear—personal egos and groupism must be left behind. This is the time to unite everyone who ever worked for MNS, whether active or inactive. We need every loyal karyakarta for this fight.”

Thackeray reportedly instructed the leadership to reconnect with former office bearers, past candidates, and inactive workers to rebuild the grassroots strength of the party. “Nobody should be sidelined because of internal politics. If someone supported the party in the past, they must be respected and brought back into the fold,” Nandgaonkar added.

While speculation swirled around possible pre-poll alliances, especially with Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT), Nandgaonkar clarified that “no alliance talks took place” during the meeting. “Raj saheb will decide about alliances when the time is right. Right now, the focus is entirely on internal discipline, unity, and preparation,” he stated.

With the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections on the horizon, Thackeray is said to have laid particular emphasis on booth-level organisation and voter list verification. He instructed all ward-level teams to actively cross-check electoral rolls and ensure every MNS supporter is registered.

“Ground-level strength matters more than just public rallies. Without accurate voter data, our efforts will fall short. We must be meticulous and present in every street, every household,” Thackeray told party members, according to Nandgaonkar.
