Patna: In a fiery political outburst, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Saturday took a sharp dig at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, invoking Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic film to revive the decades-old fodder scam allegations against the Yadav family.
Speaking to reporters, Chaudhary said, “Fodder was stolen in Bihar. There is a film of Amitabh Bachchan where ‘Mera Baap Chor Hai’ is written on his hand. Tejashwi Yadav will also have to write the same.” The Deputy CM’s comment refers to the infamous fodder scam, in which Tejashwi’s father and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav was convicted for embezzlement of government funds intended for cattle fodder during his tenure as Chief Minister.
