In a heartwarming initiative for financially underprivileged and destitute women, Kalyan City Congress Vice President Rajabhau Patkar has launched a unique scheme. With the upcoming festivals of Dussehra and Diwali in mind, Patkar announced that women in the Kalyan West Assembly constituency will receive free LPG cylinder refills. This initiative was unveiled during a press conference today, and it will be implemented under the guidance of Sanjay Dutt, Secretary of the All India Congress Committee and in charge of the Madhya Pradesh Congress.
The press conference was attended by Kalyan City Congress President Sachin Pote, Vice President Rajabhau Patkar, Block President Vimal Thakkar, State Member Rajesh (Munna) Tiwari, Women’s District President Kanchan Kulkarni, and Youth Congress President Japjeet Singh.
Speaking at the event, Patkar said, “I have come this far after facing several challenges, which makes me deeply aware of the struggles and hardships faced by the poor. As a token of social responsibility and compassion, we are launching this initiative using personal funds, through the Congress Party, to assist these women during the festive season.” He also clarified that the scheme is exclusively for the Kalyan West constituency and will benefit destitute, divorced, and abandoned women.
How to Avail the Benefits:
A dedicated helpline number has been set up for the initiative – 7699444555. Additionally, three centers have been established for women to claim their benefits: Newtech Diagnostic Center in Khadakpada, an office opposite Titwala Ganesh Temple, and a center in Mohane. Congress District President Sachin Pote urged women to contact these centers and take full advantage of this scheme.
This effort, dubbed “Beloved Brother of Sisters”, reflects the Congress leader’s commitment to the welfare of marginalized women in his constituency.
