In a sensational allegation, Mumbai BJP leader and MLA Nitesh Rane has targeted Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, accusing him of shielding a party office-bearer accused of harassing a woman. Rane claimed that Thackeray is planning to meet Amol Sansare, the UBT’s ward-level leader against whom a case is registered for allegedly harassing a woman for property on the pretext of marriage.

“There is a person named Amol Sansare, who is UBT Shiv Sena Shakha Pramukh of ward number 106, against whom the case is registered for harassment of women for property on the pretext of marriage. He is out on bail,” Rane said. “It seems Aaditya Thackeray is planning to visit him. Against this background, does it mean that Amol Sansare enjoys the unwritten support of Aaditya Thackeray for the wrongs he has done with the woman?”

This is not the first time Nitesh Rane has leveled allegations against Aaditya Thackeray and Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders. In the past, he has made similar accusations against Thackeray and Sanjay Raut.

Recently, Union Minister Narayan Rane, Nitesh’s father, also criticized the Thackerays for their alleged involvement in wrongfully allocating contracts for BMC works during the Covid-19 period. Without naming Uddhav and Aaditya Thackeray, the minister had said that those behind the scams during the Covid period would soon be behind bars.

Sanjay Raut, a prominent UBT leader, responded to these allegations, saying, “Within the next two months, our alliance government will get established. Cases which ED and CBI had closed for the time being will get reopened, and then you will see people in Tihar jail or some other jail. So those who are making unnecessary noise should introspect.”

The war of words between the BJP and Shiv Sena (UBT) has intensified as the two parties gear up for crucial elections in Maharashtra. Nitesh Rane’s sensational allegation against Aaditya Thackeray has added fuel to the fire, with the BJP seemingly attempting to corner the UBT on issues of corruption and impropriety.
