In a scathing rebuke aimed at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Clyde Crasto, echoing sentiments articulated by veteran leader Sharadchandra Pawar, labeled the BJP as the “family of corrupt individuals.”

Addressing recent remarks made by BJP leader Amit Shah, Crasto asserted, “We do not owe an explanation of any kind to Mr. Amit Shah.” Dismissing Shah’s inquiries regarding Pawar’s contributions to Maharashtra, Crasto emphasized that the people of Maharashtra and India are well-aware of Pawar’s five decades of dedicated service.

Crasto criticized Shah’s mention of Pawar as a ploy for “free publicity,” suggesting that the BJP resorts to invoking Pawar’s name to divert attention from its own failures. “Everybody knows that if you want free publicity, you just have to mention the name of Mr. Sharad Pawar and people start listening to you,” Crasto remarked, highlighting BJP’s alleged lack of tangible achievements.

Challenging Shah to scrutinize his own party’s track record, Crasto outlined the BJP’s purported failures over the past decade, including unemployment, inflation, and rising prices. He accused the BJP of sheltering corrupt individuals within its ranks, dubbing the party’s purported lineage as “Bhrasht Logon ka Parivar” (Family of Corrupt Individuals).

Drawing attention to Pawar’s extensive political career spanning over five decades, Crasto emphasized the public’s satisfaction with Pawar’s service. “Everybody knows that Mr. Sharad Pawar, in the 50 years of his political career, 55 years to be precise, has served the people of Maharashtra and India, and the people are happy with him,” Crasto affirmed.

In conclusion, Crasto urged Shah and the BJP to engage in introspection before casting aspersions on others. “Amit Shah Ji, before questioning others, should question himself,” Crasto asserted, urging the BJP to reflect on its governance and accountability to the Indian populace.
