Alarming accusations have surfaced against Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, alleging manipulative practices that jeopardize the academic future of its students. According to State Congress chief spokesperson Atul Londhe, the academic council meeting acknowledged the impropriety, yet those responsible remain unaccounted for. Londhe emphasized that engineering exam papers are graded online, and purportedly, students are failed through digital means. Of further concern is the conduct of examinations without providing re-examination results, casting doubt on the credibility of the evaluation process. Nearly 11,000 students’ academic futures hang in the balance, prompting queries about the institution’s accountability and the potential manipulation of results to deliberately fail students.
Moreover, the absence of punitive measures against the company responsible for online evaluations and the lack of a filed FIR against those involved raise alarming questions regarding the university’s commitment to rectifying these grievances.
Highlighting the severity of the situation, Atul Londhe stressed the necessity for immediate intervention by the Governor, who serves as the university’s chancellor. The call for justice for the affected students underscores the gravity of the situation within an institution bearing the esteemed name of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
The alleged misconduct tarnishes the reputation of the university and implores urgent, transparent investigations to ensure accountability and restore academic integrity. This incident not only threatens the academic aspirations of thousands of students but also raises broader concerns about the ethical fabric of educational institutions in Maharashtra.
