BJP Ahead in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan:
On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seems to hold the edge in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, where the BJP and Congress respectively hold power.
Close Race in Mizoram:
The exit polls have thrown light on a closely contested race in Mizoram between the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) and the Mizo National Front (MNF), with the Congress and BJP trailing behind. This neck-to-neck battle indicates an intriguing contest for governance in the state.
Current Political Scenario:
Presently, the BJP holds power in the 230-member Madhya Pradesh assembly, while the Congress governs the 200-seat Rajasthan assembly and the 90-seat Chhattisgarh assembly. In Telangana, the K Chandrashekhar Rao-led Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has been in power for a decade, and in Mizoram, the MNF currently heads the government.
