In a disturbing incident in a town in the French Alps, a stabbing attack occurred, resulting in injuries to several individuals, including children. The incident occurred around 9:45 am local time in the city centre of Annecy. Law enforcement swiftly apprehended a suspect who is currently in custody. French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanian confirmed via Twitter that an individual wielding a knife had caused harm to several people, including children, in a square in Annecy.
Disturbing footage has emerged on social media, capturing the incident in which the alleged perpetrator, reportedly a Syrian asylum seeker according to preliminary reports, can be seen attacking children in a park. The mothers of these children can be heard screaming in absolute horror as they attempt to protect their little ones while the assailant pursues them. A brave individual is also seen in the footage, running after the attacker in an effort to intervene and prevent further harm to the children.
