BJP leaders say one thing about great men but behave exactly in the opposite manner !: Nana Patole

Mumbai: Leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who beg for votes in the name of great men during the elections but once the elections are over they insult the same great men of Maharashtra.

It seems that there is a competition between the BJP leaders in insulting the great men of Maharashtra despite living in the state. BJP has not taken any action against these leaders who insulted great men, but did not even reprimand them in private, instead these ‘great’ leaders were made to stand next to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this is an insult to Maharashtra and our idols, remarked Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) President Nana Patole said that the BJP says one thing and does something else especially when it comes to the great men of the state.

Speaking in this regard, Congress State President Nana Patole said that Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari insulted Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule, BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi also made insulting remarks while Tourism Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha compared Shivaji Maharaj’s escape from Agra with the rebellion of Eknath Shinde from Sena. Union Minister Raosaheb Danve mentioned Maharaj in an unrespectable manner.

Patole further stated that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Phule are being insulted continuously by the BJP leaders. People are expressing strong anger on this but Bharatiya Janata Party does not seem to care and as in fact strongly defended these leaders. Bharatiya Janata Party leaders are ruthless, they do not have any qualms about insulting the great men.

Governor Koshyari, who insulted our great men, was seated next to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Nagpur. If Prime Minister Modi had reprimanded Koshiyari for the insults we would have respected the PM. But unfortunately the BJP thinks its leaders are bigger than the great men. This is a planned conspiracy of the BJP to defame the great men and the governor is part of the same plan..

Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, has insulted the great men like Mahatma Phule, Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar by saying that they begged to start educational institutions. He later defended his statement by saying he didn’t mean to insult them.

“The people of the state are also angry about it. In Pimpri-Chinchwad, an activist threw ink on Patil. We do not support the incident and after this incident ten policemen were suspended and the journalist who was covering the incident by shooting a video was arrested under section 307. Is Chandrakant Patil bigger than these great men? Was it really necessary to impose such strict sections on that journalist? The vengeful government took swift action but the BJP did not take action against the leaders who repeatedly insulted the great men. Chandrakant Patil also attacked some political leaders including me. He challenged me for a discussion. Looking at Chandrakant Patils behaviour, his mental balance seems to be disturbed and we are worried about him, he should seek treatment from a good doctor as soon as possible. I pray that Ganapati bappa gives wisdom to Chandrakant Patil and the other great leaders of BJP,” said the Congress state president.
