Indian Red Cross Society organises blood donation camp at Langate in association with 30 RR Langate

Srinagar: The Indian Red Cross Society Kupwara on Monday organised a blood donation camp in association with 30 RR Army camp Langate.

Blood donation camp was inaugurated by Naib Tehsildar Langate and BMO Langate who were joined by Deputy Superintendent Dr Ajaz Ahmad and other officials of District Hospital Handwara.

Syed Imtiyaz while speaking to the media said everyone should come and donate their blood for this noble cause to increase the blood capacity in our health system. He said that earlier people used to be afraid of donating blood but now the scenario has changed and people voluntarily come forward to donate blood.

He said that more and more youth should come forward to donate blood so that patients in desperate need could be saved.

Instructor Red Cross society Kupwara Syed Imtiyaz who has donated blood 61 times was widely appreciated. “I have always been on the forefront to donate blood. My aim of donating blood is to encourage youth for blood donation,” he said. Red cross volunteers, including Army Jawans   donated blood and almost 51 points were donated today.
