BJP MLA Nitesh Rane criticised Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Wednesday for supporting NCP leader and Minorities Affairs Minister Nawab Malik who was summoned by ED for questioning in a land deal.
Recalling 1993 Mumbai blasts, Nitesh Rane said Malik’s name is linked to those anti-social elements. “Mr Raut, it looks like you have forgotten 1993 blasts after assuming power. In the blasts, 257 Mumbaikars lost their lives and 731 got injured. Dawood Ibrahim was responsible for the blasts was proved during the Congress government. Today, Malik is linked to these traitors, ” he said.
The BJP MLA further said “instead of demanding a thorough probe in the matter, you are supporting Malik. It is a betrayal of the country, with Bharat Mata. With these sentiments, do not call Mumbai your city,” Rane said.
