Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday arrested Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi’s nephew, Bhupinder Singh Honey, from Jalandar.
The arrest was made in connection with illegal mining. Bhupinder Singh Honey was arrested under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) late at night.
Bhupinder Singh Honey is the son of Channi’s sister-in-law.
Honey was being questioned at ED’s office at Jalandhar. ED arrested Honey under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). He is likely to be produced later in the day before a Special Court at Mohali.
