India administers 167.87 crore vaccine doses; Recovery rate stands at 95.14 percent

The government has said that over 167 crore 87 lakh COVID vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, more than 55 lakh doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

It said, more than one crore 34 lakh precautionary doses have been administered to the eligible beneficiaries so far. Over four crore 77 lakh children have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine to date.

The Ministry said a total of one lakh 72 thousand 433 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. India’s Active caseload stands at 15 lakh 33 thousand 921 and it is currently at 3.67 percent. The recovery rate is currently at 95.14 percent.

A total of two lakh 59 thousand 107 people recovered in the last 24 hours and total recoveries touched over three crore 97 lakh. The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 12.98 percent while the Daily positivity rate is at 10.99 percent.

The Ministry said, over 73 crore 41 lakh COVID tests have been conducted in the country so far. In the last 24 hours, more than 15 lakh 69 thousand tests were conducted.
