106-year-old woman defeated coronavirus, back to home with a smiley

Thane: A 106-year-old woman named Anandibai Patil from Dombivli has defeated the Coronavirus after ten days stay at the hospital and came back home with a smile on her face. 

The news of the granny recovering from the infection comes at a time when the number of Coronavirus patients has been rising by the day in Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) and in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Anandibai Patil, 106, who got tested positive on September 12. 

She was having pain in the chest and high blood pressure. Following which, her family members took her to many hospitals but the hospital administration refused admission, said a relative. 

The family member later admitted her to KDMC – run Sawalaram Maharaj Krida Sankul COVID hospital on September 12. She won and waged a battle with coronavirus and came back home with a smile on her face on September 20.

Dr Rahul Ghule, Managing director of One rupee clinic, which is operating the Sawalaram Maharaj Krida Sankul (SMKS) COVID hospital said, “Team of the hospital had given good efforts to care for her health. I appealed to citizens that there was no need to fear age factors just come to the hospital as early as possible without wasting time”.

There were 457 new fresh cases recorded in the city. 5328 patients were active and currently under the treatment. A total of 32663 patients have discharged so far. While 575 patients died due to coronavirus infection.
