Patna: RJD leader and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, on Monday launched a sharp critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, questioning the focus on alleged infiltrators while fundamental issues like education, healthcare, and irrigation remain unaddressed.
Addressing the media, Yadav said, “What else will he talk about? Who has stopped him from driving out the infiltrators? What was he doing for 11 years while being the Prime Minister? You have been in power in Bihar for 20 years. What was he doing? Please tell us who the infiltrator is? Someone must have been identified by now.”
Yadav also highlighted discrepancies in focus, noting, “There were elections in Jharkhand, so there were infiltrators there; now, there are no infiltrators? They talk about infiltrators just to divert attention from the real issues. The real issue is education, medicine, income, irrigation.”
Taking a dig at the state administration, he added, “What did the Prime Minister’s favourite Bihar minister do yesterday? Journalists were abused and beaten up. Did this ever happen before 2005? Even for an FIR, the Leader of Opposition had to intervene.”
