Death rate and infections would come down with ‘My Family My Responsibility” campaign. Tele-ICU, Post-Covid Treatment centres to be set all over the state

Mumbai: Stating that the Maharashtra government is fighting the fight against Covid aggressively through the campaign of ‘My Family My Responsibility’, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that in coming days we would see the effect of this campaign in reducing death rate and Covid positivity rate. Stating that setting up Tele-ICU mechanism all over the state, we would see to it that rural patients would receive e timely treatment he informed that patients need treatment even after Covid and we would start treatment centres for the same.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had interaction with seven chief ministers via video conferencing. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was speaking at this meeting. In addition to Maharashtra, chief ministers from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab and Tamil Nadu participated in the meeting.

Praising people of Maharashtra for bravely combating the Coronaviruses, Prime Minister suggested dedicated squads for 20 districts in Maharashtra where Covid infection was maximum so that it would have its impact even on the National statistics about Corona.

Chief Minister Thackeray urged Prime Minister to yet again address people of another country to guide as to how to combat Corona in coming days. He said that it was a challenging time ahead in view of festivities where we should ensure that patients do not rise during this time.

Daily tests to be increased up to 1.5 lakh

Chief Minister during the meeting informed about important measures taken by the State Government. He informed that two swab samples are collected from the patients having symptoms and if rapid antigen test is negative the second swab is utilised for RTPCR test. He told that medicines are available and daily tests would be increased up to 1.5 lakh.

Tele-ICU all over the state

Chief Minister told that Tele-ICU has been started on an experimental basis in the state and would be set up all over the state since it is useful. He said that state government has decided to avail guidance from expert doctors from urban areas that rural and remote areas would get benefit out of Tele-ICU.

Control on Oxygen production and distribution needed

Stating that Jumbo facilities and testing laboratories have been set up at various places in the state chief minister expressed the confidence that we would fight and would win this battle against Corona. Expressing the possibility of the paucity of Oxygen in the state, the chief minister said that the Union Government needs to sort the tissue of oxygen being used for medical purpose and their needs are controlled on oxygen distribution.  

Planning of vaccine supply needed

Chief Minister said that trials for the vaccine should be faster so that vaccine production can be as early as possible. He said that there is a need for proper planning of distribution of the vaccine.

Chief Minister gave the example of a habit of using specs

Underlining the need for using the mask, the chief minister gave a simple example of the habit of using specs. He said that using specs must have been difficult in the beginning especially it would have been a problem for the face as well as the nose but once one gets used to it, it does not give any problem.

Prime Minister liked this example so much that in his concluding speech, he mentioned this example the chief minister and told that in coming days mask was inevitable.

Teams visited 26 of % households in My Family My Responsibility campaign

Since the campaign has begun, teams have visited 40,75, 782 houses which are 26 percent and have covered 83,63,000 people which is 18 per cent. During these visits, 4824 Covid positive persons were found and there were 7.54 lakh persons with comorbidity found during these visits.

The state has taken few good steps during Covid -19 pandemic

The benefit of Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya scheme extended to all citizens. Private hospitals asked to keep 80 per cent beds reserved which was mandatory

Price or rate for testing brought down. A task force of experts constituted, a task force at district level constituted. Corona village vigilance committees formed.

Oxygen production has been controlled and 80 per cent of Oxygen has been made mandatory for medical use while 20 per cent for industrial supply by law.

Oxygen carrying tankers have ambulance status. Control room for Oxygen availability and related issues.

Last month 18 RTPCR testing laboratories started in state and state has 80 thousand testing capacity at present.

We are conducting 677 per million tests which are more than stipulated by ICMR which is 140 per million. In August every day, there were 65 thousand tests conducted

Beds availability

In March 2020, 7722 beds, 3091 ICU beds and 1143 ventilators. Today available beds are 3.60 lakhs. There were 16192 beds in 353 organizations for quarantine in state. Now in 1010 organizational quarantine facility, there are 124284 beds available

The state economy has started with a pace. Whatever would be sold, is cultivated and benefits the farmers, the campaign would prove beneficial for farmers to avail guaranteed price for the products and would make them free of any worry.

For loan waiver Rs 19,450 crore deposited in bank accounts of 31.89 lakh farmers. Agriculture and food processing industry encouraged. Maharashtra Agri-Busines Network (MAGNET).

There has been a record purchase of cotton this year in Maharashtra. e-Crop Visit mobile application would bring in transparency, speed and accuracy to provide information of more than 240 crops at a time.

Shiv Bhojan – 1.84 crore meals have distributed under the scheme. Employment Guarantee Scheme (EGS) works are going on.

Assistance to Nisarg cyclone hit persons. A total of Rs. 623.94 crores disbursed to affected persons from 3 districts of Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg. Flood situation in Vidarbha – The affected persons have been provided with an immediate fund of Rs. 16.48l lakh 25 thousand as initial assistance.

Around 6,000 youth have got jobs through Maha Jobs portal. After unlock process 95 per cent of industry resumed.

Steps for housing for the general population – Decision of setting up independent Slum Rehabilitation Authority in 8 Municipal Corporations and 7 Municipalities.

Prosperity corridor work is on a fast track – The work for Hinduhriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray prosperity highway has been started at a pace and plan for 25 townships on the highway under preparation.

The milk powder from extra milk given to Tribal children and women there by 6.51 lakh children and 1.21 lakh pregnant and feeding women started receiving the same free of cost.

100 Percent Khavati subsidy – The Khavati scheme which was closed for some years has been started again and 100 per cent subsidy which is Rs. 2000 cash and essential commodities worth Rs. 2000 are being given.

Schools closed but education is on

Google Classroom and Tata Sky, Jio Disha App are used to teach students.Plan to complete the examination process in the state by October 31st
