Mumbai: Mahim Residents Group request CM Uddhav Thackeray to allot cemetery for animals

Residents of Mahim area in Mumbai have demanded a pet cemetery for the burial of animals. Farooque Dhala from Mahim Residents Group requested Uddhav Thackeray, Chief Minister of Maharashtra to reserve and approve lands to make pet cemeteries for pet burials in Maharashtra. 

Irfan Machiwala from Mahim Residents Group said Muslims, Christians and Jews believe in burial so they want that when their pets die they should also be buried. 

Rita Dsa Mahim Social Worker said pet cemeteries initiative should start by the Municipal corporations, animal rights activists and the veterinary department.
