In a press conference held in Raipur, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched a scathing attack on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, drawing a humorous analogy to the popular Bollywood movie ‘Ghajini.’ Fadnavis likened the two politicians to the film’s lead character who suffered from short-term memory loss.
Addressing the media, Fadnavis humorously remarked, “After seeing some rallies of Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, I am reminded of the film Ghajini. They are suffering from memory loss. They have forgotten what they promised in the past and have started lying afresh.”
Fadnavis went on to highlight some of the unfulfilled promises made by the Congress party, saying, “People are asking about the Congress’ promise of prohibition, but they don’t remember it anymore. The Congress promised to start an air ambulance, but they are unable to run normal ambulance services.”
Turning his attention to the Congress government in Chhattisgarh, Fadnavis raised concerns about an alleged Public Service Commission (PSC) scam, stating that it appeared as if one needed to be a child of a politician or bureaucrat to secure a job in the state. He further criticized the government for discontinuing the construction of houses meant for the poor, despite the welfare schemes initiated by the Modi government. Fadnavis expressed skepticism about the government’s claims of introducing new housing construction schemes.
Fadnavis’ comments have added fuel to the ongoing political discourse and rivalry, underscoring the importance of accountability and transparency in fulfilling electoral promises.
