International Mother Language Day organised at Mawar Valley

Srinagar: On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, Indian Army at Naugam organised an empowerment and awareness drive for the importance of mother language for the people of Mawar valley.

The aim of the awareness drive was to spread the message that despite having knowledge about foreign languages one should always respect and know the importance of mother language as it also helps to keep individuals connected with their roots. Language carries culture, traditions and several other ethos with itself which altogether helps to understand the people of a particular region and religion.

 An event was organised where students came and performed several skits in Kashmiri language which were related to importance of mother language and also a short talk was delivered by people of Mawar to address the concern on importance of mother language.
