Madurai: Whenever, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) comes to power, their people’s representatives engage in anarchic activities and run a barbaric regime, remarked AIADMKs Madurai Zone Information Technology Secretary, VVR Raj Sathyan while addressing a massive public rally in Madurai on Sunday.
“A DMK Member of Parliament runs in broad daylight with a scythe to cut down the youths. Another DMK councillor enters the school and attacks the headmaster. A DMK MLA enters an institution and threatens its officials there. A Member of Parliament from the DMK dares to insult the Hindu community”, remarked VVR Raj Sathyan.
He further added, “Legislators and local body representatives continue to threaten people without serving the people. Land grabbing was done during the previous DMK regime between 2006-2011. Then Amma (former TN CM late J Jayalalitha) formed a committee to recover the land grabs. About 6,000 acres of land worth 3835 crores and 43 lakh 6 thousand 303 square feet of land were recovered.
Conjeevaram Natarajan Annadurai (C N Annadurai, late chief minister of Madras presidency), popularly known as Anna. A public meeting was held at Vandiyur, East Block, Madurai Suburban East District to mark the birth anniversary of Anna. Organizational Secretary, local AIADMK MLA VV Rajan Chellappa, his son and AIADMK’s Madurai Zone Information Technology Secretary VVR Raj Sathyan (AIADMK) spoke in this.
Raj Sathyan termed DMK Chief Minister M K Stalin’s rule in Tamil Nadu today as tyrannical. Edappadiyar (Edappadiyar Palaniswami) is the protector of the 8-crore people in Tamil Nadu. People are democratically electing local representatives, legislators and parliamentarians to serve them. In the past 50 years of history, the people’s representatives elected on behalf of this movement All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) have dedicated themselves to serving the people.
Similarly, Edappadiyar who will become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu again will set up a special committee to take action against the members of the local body representative assembly to fulfil the people’s demand.
Now the Chief Minister has announced a Rs 600 crore IT park in Madurai. Already investors are yet to come to the IT Park in Vadapalanchi. Without filling the vacant IT Park, the Chief Minister has in haste announced another IT Park in Madurai. This place is a very busy area. The information technology parks will be in the expanded area, but the Chief Minister has announced without asking anyone’s opinion which is bound to disappoint the people.
In Tamil Nadu, people are very angry because they have given a rise in property tax, an increase in electricity charges, an increase in sewage connection charges, an increase in drinking water tax, etc. To divert public attention from all this, former union minister A. Raja has been insulting and blaming Hindus, so the day is not far when people will put an end to all this.
He said that soon the Assembly elections will be held along with the Lok Sabha elections and then the people will learn the biggest lesson and make Edappadiyar the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu again without giving the opposition status to the DMK. In this meeting, Melur assembly member Periyapullan, District Youth League Secretary lawyer Ramesh, Union League Secretaries Thanoor Murugan, Thakkar Pandi Karcheri Ganesan, Vasu, Regional League Secretary Vandiyur Senthilkumar and many others participated.
