Srinagar: Indian Army, the Chinar Corps and the 41 Rashtriya Rifles (41 RR) organised volleyball tournament at village Halmatpora, Gonipora, Kupwara which aimed at empowering the youths of the village.
This event took place from October 15 to October 18 as a part of the Indian Army ongoing efforts to promote sports, teamwork, and healthy competition among young people in rural areas.
The objective of this event was to encourage collaboration and sportsmanship among participants, highlight the importance of physical health and active lifestyles and strengthen relationships within the community. Teams from the Halmatpora block participated in this tournament.
Final match of this tournament was held on October 18, between Chalgund and Gonipora. The Chalgund team was overall winner of the tournament. Winners and runners of the event received trophies, medals, and certificates. All participants received participation certificates to acknowledge their efforts.
