Traders will meet Maha CM and will discuss about ways of simplifying the Agriculture Act

Navi Mumbai: The Chamber of Association of Maharashtra Industry and Trade (CAMIT) and The Federation of Association of Traders (TFAT), Pune together which had earlier planned the indefinite bandh from October 1 against the Farm Bills enacted by the Center have decided to call off their stir after assurance of an audience from Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Both the trader’s bodies decided to postpone the indefinite bandh and first have a word with the state government for simplifying the rules for the benefit of the trading communities
With the Farm laws now coming into effect, a virtual meeting of all the action committees of the APMC traders was organised on September 27 where it was decided that the indefinite bandh of all the 306 APMC markets should be called off.

Mohan Gurnani, Chairman of Chamber of Association of Maharashtra Industry and Trade (CAMIT) speaking with thenews21 Correspondent informed, “In a virtual meeting held on September 27 all the concerned traders came on a decision that the indefinite bandh on October 1 should be called off. We decided that we all should meet the Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and demand him for simplifying the Agriculture Act for the traders and also abolish the cess for traders. We are hopeful that Uddhav Thackeray will definitely look into our matter and will be coming up with some constructive solution which will be beneficial for all.”-By Abhitash D.Singh
