New Delhi: India has officially kicked off a historic global outreach to present its stance on terrorism post-Operation Sindoor, with three of seven all-party delegations set to travel abroad starting Wednesday. These delegations, comprising both ruling and opposition leaders, aim to engage international audiences on India’s evolving counter-terrorism policy and expose Pakistan’s longstanding support for terror networks.

The outreach comes just days after India executed Operation Sindoor, a bold cross-border military operation that has reset the nation’s security posture.

The first of these diplomatic missions will be led by Shiv Sena MP Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde, departing for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday. Following the UAE leg, the delegation will proceed to Congo, Sierra Leone, and Liberia. Other members include BJP MPs Bansuri Swaraj, Manan Kumar Mishra, SS Ahluwalia, BJD MP Sasmit Patra, IUML MP ET Mohammed Basheer, and Ambassador Sujan Chinoy.

Simultaneously, a second delegation spearheaded by JDU MP Sanjay Jha will begin its tour on May 22 in Japan, followed by visits to South Korea (May 24), Singapore (May 27), Indonesia (May 28), and Malaysia (May 31). The diverse team includes BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Brijlal, Pradan Barua, Dr. Hemang Joshi, TMC’s Abhishek Banerjee, CPM’s John Brittas, Congress veteran Salman Khurshid, and former diplomat Mohan Kumar.

The third delegation, led by DMK MP Kanimozhi, will embark on a visit to Russia on May 22, followed by stops in Slovenia (May 25), Greece (May 27), Latvia (May 29), and Spain (May 31). The team includes SP’s Rajiv Rai, National Conference’s Mian Altaf Ahmed, BJP’s Captain Brijesh Chauta, RJD’s Premchand Gupta, AAP’s Ashok Kumar Mittal, and senior diplomats Manjeev Puri and Javed Ashraf.

According to official sources, the delegations carry a comprehensive dossier that details Pakistan’s decades-long promotion of terrorism, including material on safe havens, cross-border infiltration, and India’s intelligence-backed evidence. The dossier also outlines India’s “new normal” approach following Operation Sindoor, which signals a more assertive response to any acts of cross-border terror.

In total, seven delegations will travel to multiple countries between May 21 and May 25, interacting with policymakers, civil society, media, and lawmakers to share India’s perspective.

Of the 51 political representatives participating across all delegations, 31 are from the NDA, while 20 represent non-NDA parties, reflecting a rare and significant bipartisan effort on a critical national security issue.
