New Delhi: In a sharp reaction to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks in a podcast hosted by Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh accused Modi of engaging in “damage control” after his controversial statement. In the podcast, released on Friday, Modi humbly admitted that he is human, capable of making mistakes, and clarified that he does not do anything with bad intentions.

The Prime Minister, discussing his political journey, said, “I have always believed that I can make mistakes, but I will never do anything wrong out of bad intentions. I am human, not a God.” He went on to add that while mistakes are inevitable, he works tirelessly for the greater good and has always prioritized service over personal gain.

However, Jairam Ramesh quickly took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), mocking the Prime Minister’s comments. He wrote, “This from a man who proclaimed his non-biological status just eight months back. This is clearly damage control.”

The remark refers to a controversial statement Modi made in the past, in which he had claimed to be “non-biological,” a comment that had sparked widespread debate. Ramesh’s latest comment suggests that Modi’s recent statement about being human is an attempt to downplay or mitigate his previous remarks.
