The recent surge in criminal activities across various regions of Maharashtra has sparked outrage and prompted strong demands for action from political leaders. Clyde Crasto, National Spokesperson of the Nationalist Congress Party has called for the immediate resignation of Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, the Home Minister of Maharashtra.
The state’s law and order situation has deteriorated significantly, with incidents of violence and criminal behavior escalating in several cities. From Nagpur, where notorious individuals exert influence, to Pune, plagued by the notorious ‘Koita gang,’ and Ulhasnagar, where an MLA’s alleged misuse of a police station has raised eyebrows, the state is grappling with a wave of lawlessness.
The recent tragic killing of Abhishek Ghosalkar, a former Municipal Corporator, further underscores the gravity of the situation. Ghosalkar’s death, allegedly at the hands of a criminal, has sent shockwaves through the community and exposed the glaring gaps in the state’s law enforcement mechanisms.
Moreover, instances of brazen criminal activities, such as goondas roaming freely within the premises of the heavily guarded Mantralaya in Mumbai and sharing their exploits on social media platforms, have heightened concerns about public safety and security.
In light of these developments, Crasto and Pawar assert that Mr. Devendra Fadnavis has failed in his duties as Home Minister and must resign immediately. They argue that accountability lies not only with Fadnavis but also with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who bears responsibility for ensuring the safety and security of the state’s citizens.
As pressure mounts on the state government to address the escalating lawlessness, citizens are looking to their leaders for swift and decisive action to restore order and uphold the rule of law.
