PCPG meeting held at police station Vilgam, Handwara to address public grievances

Srinagar: As a part of public outreach programme to resolve the issues with the local police and civic body, a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was facilitated by Handwara Police at Police Station Vilgam while following social distancing norms and other protocols.

Police in a statement issued here on Sunday said the meeting was chaired by SP Handwara, SDPO Handwara Syed Fariz and SHO Police Station Vilgam Iftikar Hussain. The meeting was attended by large number of respectable people and chemists of the area.

During the meeting, the participants raised various issues including, drugs problem and water shortages and other several issues. The chairing officers assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal,” the statement said.

The participants assured their full cooperation to Police and appreciated the impartial role of Police in the execution of law and hailed the visible change in the behaviour, conduct, etiquette of Policemen towards general public,” it added.
