In Maharashtra, a record number of 82 thousand 266 patients recovered yesterday. Similarly the number of daily cases in Mumbai is showing a declining trend. But on the other hand the situation in rural Maharashtra is yet to improve. Due to this some of the district administrations as well as some local bodies have decided to impose strict lockdown of 7 days in their jurisdiction from today.
Guardian Minister of Sindhudurg District Uday Samant announced to impose strict lockdown of 7 days in the district and it will come in place from this midnight. Decision was taken to impose the lockdown as the number of cases in Sindhudurg district are continuously rising due to the careless approach of the people who are not following the restrictions and seen gathering at market places as well as some other places even after the strict restrictions.
Similar lockdowns have been announced in Washim, Beed, Wardha, Akola, Amravati, Latur and some local bodies like Kulgaon Badlapur Muncipal Council in Thane District. Essential services have been exempted from the lockdown and the food items like milk, eggs, chicken, meat, vegetables can be sold only through home delivery in the specific time as decided by the local administration.
At some places the restrictions are so strict that the people visiting the vaccination centres will have to show the proofs for their inoculation to avoid undue advantage taken by some people in the name of the vaccination.
