Thane: Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation will discontinue the odd and even formula for shops from August 17. According to official reports shops on both sides of the road can be opened from August 17 from 9 am to 7 pm. However, MBMC has declared that in hotspot areas this order will not apply.
The decision has come after politicians of Mira Bhayander Geeta Jain, Pratap Sarnaik and Narendra Mehta raised their voice against odd and even formula in the twin city as they alleged that it was killing the business of shopkeepers.
