Many forces work to ensure that a country does not progress. India has been advancing in all sectors in recent years, and to hinder this growth, a conspiracy is being hatched to create internal unrest and spread anarchy within the country. RSS Chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat highlighted the need to remain constantly vigilant against such threats. He was speaking at the Vijayadashami function of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) held today, Saturday, in Nagpur. Former ISRO Chairman K. Radhakrishnan was the chief guest at the event.

Dr. Bhagwat mentioned that forces that want to divide society based on caste, language, and region are playing divisive games in India. The attempt is to create conflicts by separating the common people based on minor differences. India’s border areas, including Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, and the coastal regions of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and from Bihar to Manipur, are all facing unrest.

The current era is not one of direct wars but rather one where progress is hindered through various forms of propaganda. He stated that India has made remarkable strides in every field in recent years, and certain global forces are trying to defame India and create obstacles in its path. A similar experiment was conducted in Bangladesh, where after India’s efforts helped liberate Bangladesh from Pakistan’s oppression, today, influenced by foreign conspiracies, Bangladesh considers Pakistan as a friend and India as an enemy.

Dr. Bhagwat emphasised that efforts are underway to spread dissatisfaction and anarchy in India as well, and every Indian must remain vigilant against such attempts. Speaking on the situation in Bangladesh, he said that the attacks on the Hindu community there were a serious matter. The Hindu community in Bangladesh managed to defend itself to some extent by standing united, but as long as radical extremists remain active there, both Hindus and other minority communities will continue to face threats.

Dr. Bhagwat urged the Indian government to continuously extend support to the Hindus in Bangladesh, noting that attempts are being made to forge alliances between Pakistan and Bangladesh against India. While addressing the various problems faced by the country, Dr. Bhagwat also spoke about the moral decay in society. He particularly expressed concern over the content being shown on OTT platforms. He called for regulation of OTT platforms and the introduction of laws to curb vulgarity, which he believes is negatively affecting the younger generation.

Additionally, he addressed environmental issues, stressing that human activities are disturbing the natural climate cycles. He emphasized the need to adopt traditional practices like organic farming, conserve water, and stop the use of single-use plastic. Dr. Bhagwat also spoke about the incidents of violence in West Bengal, condemning the recent events at R.G. Kar Medical College in Kolkata, calling it a shameful incident that tarnishes society.

He criticised the protection of criminals by certain groups even after such heinous crimes, pointing to the nexus between crime, politics, and corruption. On the rising incidents of violence in the country, Dr. Bhagwat said there has been an increase in violent incidents in recent days, including stone-pelting on Ganesh festival processions. While controlling these incidents is the responsibility of the police, he said that every individual is also responsible for protecting themselves and their families until the police arrive. No one has the right to indulge in hooliganism, but everyone has the right to self-defense, he remarked, calling for the Hindu community to unite and strengthen itself.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attended the event in RSS uniform, along with prominent figures like Rashtriya Sevika Samiti Chief Shantakka and BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
