Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Jagdambika Pal has asserted that infiltration in West Bengal will cease once the party comes to power in the state. His remarks come amid the ongoing debate on illegal immigration, particularly from Bangladesh.
Speaking to ANI, Pal emphasized that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has repeatedly urged the West Bengal government to allocate 450 km of land for border fencing, but the request has been ignored. “This is why we have illegal immigrants across the country. They enter through West Bengal, get their Aadhaar cards made there, and then move to other parts of India,” he said.
Pal further stated that if BJP forms the government in West Bengal, it will take decisive action to halt infiltration. “Infiltration will stop the day BJP forms the government in West Bengal. We will set up border fences to prevent the illegal entry of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis,” he added.
