Indian Army team alerts villagers and assists them in fire-fighting in Thaiyan Gujran, Kalaroos, Kupwara

Srinagar: At around 3.30 AM on Wednesday morning the home of Mohmmad Ibrahim Dedad, son of Samasdin Dedad, of Thaiyan Gujran caught fire. The fire was raging dangerously and threatened to engulf the entire house.

The sentry at Kalaroos COB noticed the fire and a rescue team was immediately rushed to the spot with fire extinguishers. The villagers were alerted by the Indian Army and the fire engines at Kalaroos were also alerted. 

The fire was very intense and only few locals could gather as it was the early hours of the morning. Indian Army team along with fire brigade vehicle doused the fire but could not recover any households. By the time fire got extinguished most of the house was gutted in the fire. Miraculously, however, there was no loss of life reported. The Indian Army also provided rations and some essentials to the affected family.
